Mr. Gary D. Woodside, age 55 of Brighton, passed away Saturday, Nov. 19, 2005 at St. Joseph Mercy Livingston Hospital, Howell. He was born on August 14, 1950 in Detroit, MI the son of Donald L. & Joyce E. (Christianson) Woodside. On Nov. 4, 1978 he was married to Janice H. Blanzy in Detroit. They moved to the Brighton area in 1986 from Redford.
Mr.Woodside attended St. Mary Magdalen Parish in Brighton. He was involved in Hartland area school sports, and had previously been a baseball coach. Mr. Woodside enjoyed spending time with his family, and especially enjoyed hiking and camping.
Mr. Woodside was employed in sales for over 27 years.
Surviving in addition to his wife Janice is his son Erik Woodside and daughter Nicole Woodside. In addition he is survived by 2 brothers: Roger (Noreen) Woodside of Fenton, & Donald (Theresia) Woodside of Wisconsin; 2 sisters: Denise (Kevin) Barkume of Canton & Candace (Ron) Conklin of Ann Arbor, and his father-in-law & mother-in-law, Eugene & Dorothy Blanzy. Mr. Woodside is also survived by several nieces, nephews, extended family and many, many friends.
